The Aging Room line from Boutique Blends will be expanding at this year’s IPCPR Convention and Trade Show, as the company has announced the Aging Room Bin No. 1. The new line is rooted in aged tobacco from Jochi Blanco at Tabacalera La Palma, the factory that produces Boutique Blends’ lines. The tobacco has been on reserve since Blanco’s early days of growing Cuban seed tobacco in the Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic, and in the case of the Aging Room Bin No. 1, dates back to 1999 and 2001 and is used for the filler and binder. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Habano leaf. There will be three sizes released at this year’s trade show, a 6 1/8 x 52 known as B Minor, 5 1/4 x 54 called C Major and a 6 1/4 x 63 dubbed G Major. The names continue Aging Room’s trend of using musical terms for vitola names. Details of the Aging Room Bin No. 1 were first reported in the May 6 edition of Cigar Insider.
