The smoking ban in Preston County, W.V. grew on Wednesday night as the county’s board of health approved a change that will prohibit smoking in bars, hotels, motels and private clubs. Previously, smoking had just been banned in restaurants. The board approved the proposal by a 4-1 vote, according to WBOY-TV. Preston County is located in the northern part of the state along the border with Pennsylvania, with the county seat of Kingwood located just over 90 miles south of Pittsburgh, Pa. It has a population of just under 34,000 people.
