A park smoking ban is coming to North Ridgewood, Ohio after the city’s parks and recreation board approved the proposal at its most recent meeting in late March. The ban goes into effect on July 1. It covers the use of both traditional tobacco products, both smoked and non-smoked, as well as electronic cigarettes and vaping devices. The ban covers all park areas and extends 25 feet into parking lots. The city nor the board has been posted online, with the The Chronicle Telegram reporting that the details will be mailed to residents with city utility bills. North Ridgeville is home to just over 31,000 residents and is located 25 miles southwest of Cleveland.
