The fourth regular line from Crowned Heads, Jericho Hill, arrived yesterday at its headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, and has now started shipping to retailers nationwide. Announced last month, the Jericho Hill debuts in four different vitolas at launch: OBS (4 3/4 x 52, $8.75), .44S (5 1/8 x 44, $7.95), Willy Lee (6 x 54, $9.75) and LBV (6 1/2 x 46, $8.95). All of the sizes are being sold in boxes of 24 and the new blend is rolled at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. The name of the new line comes from the Johny Cash song “Cocaine Blues,” which is the story of a fictional man, Willy Lee, and the destructive path that his life takes, a path that includes killing a woman while under the influence of whiskey and cocaine. An unnamed sheriff who eventually catches Lee in Juarez, Mexico, comes from a town named Jericho Hill. In addition to the 24-count boxes, the company is also making a Jericho Four sampler, which contains one of each of the four different sizes and retails for $29.99. That has been delayed 10 days, and will ship from My Father Cigars in Nicaragua around Aug 15.
