La Flor Dominicana has confirmed that a new batch of its limited production Salomon is on the way, with the cigar to be formally unveiled at the upcoming IPCPR Convention and Trade Show. The cigar is well known for its distinctive size and shape, with a pointed head and large, round foot that features a pointed tip at the end. The La Flor Dominicana Salomon measures seven inches in length with a 64 ring gauge. Both the natural and maduro versions use Dominican tobacco for the binder and filler, all of which was grown at Estancia La Flor de Palma in La Canela. The natural gets a Nicaraguan sungrown habano wrapper, while the maduro uses an Ecuadorian habano. They are made at Tabacalera La Flor S.A. Each version comes in ten-count boxes with an MSRP of $25.20 per cigar and $252 per box. A shipping date has not yet been announced. The LFD Salomon first appeared in 2009, and it’s been two years since its most recent release. The maduro version was reviewed in September 2010.
