For fans of the popular JFR (Just for Retailers) line from Casa Fernández, there is a stronger version heading to market. The company has been working on developing a box-pressed JFR with added strength for the past few months and is now preparing to show it off to retailers at this year’s upcoming trade show. It is offered in both Corojo and Maduro format with AGANORSA Nicaraguan fillers packed underneath either a Nicaraguan corojo wrapper or a Mexican San Andrés cover leaf. The company describes both as medium-full in strength and full in body. While both lines are offered in the same three sizes, the Corojo version is slightly less expensive. The JFR XT Corojo is offered in 6 x 54 ($6.92), 6 x 60 ($7.30) and 7 x 70 ($8.80). For the Maduro, the 654 XT is $7.08, the 660 XT is $7.48 and the 770 XT is $8.98. Both lines are packed in boxes of 24. The JFR line is produced at the company’s TABSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. It expects the JFR XT to begin ship by late August.
