Coffee-Inspired NUb Café Coming to IPCPR 2014

Oliva’s NUb brand has never been known for being traditional, but now it is heading in a direction radically different from the company’s current portfolio. This July, at the 2014 IPCPR convention and trade show, the company will launch NUb Café, a line of cigars infused with coffee. While pricing details are still being worked out, there will be three lines Macchiato, Cappuccino and Espresso—each with six vitolas.  The company introduced NUb in 2008, a short and fat cigar that at the time was the thickest vitola in many retailers humidors. Since its inception Oliva has offered it in its own blends, as well as that of Cain and Cain F and even limited editions of its flagship Serie V line. For the first time in its history, the line will now abandon its iconic short and fat stance for a few smaller and more traditional sizes. Sources told halfwheel each line will be offered in 4 x 30 (10-count tin), 4 x 38 (25-count box), 3 3/4 x 54 (20-count box), 4 x 60 (20-count box), 5 x 42 (20-count box) and 4.7 x 30 (20-count tubos).
