A smoking ban is coming to city owned and operated properties in Guthrie, Okla., including parks, pools and sports fields, after the city council voted unanimously on Tuesday in support of its passage. The ban also includes the use of e-cigarettes and expands the city’s existing ban on smoking in public places and indoor work places. GuthrieNewsPage.com was the first to report of the ordinance’s passage, which does not apply to sidewalks or personal watercraft or automobiles that are using city-owned properties. Guthrie is located just over 30 miles north of Oklahoma City, with a population of just under 11,000 people.
