The company has not returned emails seeking comment about either cigar, but retailers who received the No. 34 told halfwheel the company has informed them that the cigar featured a slightly stronger blend, something Corona reiterated for the No. 32. The Dámaso was introduced last year, a major departure from Padrón’s box-pressed and Nicaragua-centric blends; it’s a round cigar that uses a Connecticut-seed wrapper that was not from Nicaragua. The lighter blends have seemingly not caught on at retail, hence, the company gave certain retailers the No. 34, a slightly stronger version. ...
