The first two brands of Michael Argenti’s new La Gran Llave company have arrived on retail shelves. When Argenti announced the company, it was with only the eponymous La Gran Llave line, a five-size brand made by A.J. Fernández. As it turns out, there’s another cigar hitting the market as well, LGL Limited. It’s a bundle offering using an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers. It’s offered in six sizes: Corona (5 3/4 x 44, $1.99), Robusto (5 x 50, $2.24), Toro (6 x 52, $2.49), Churchill (7 x 50, $2.74), Machete (4 1/4 x 60, $2.99) and Macho (6 x 60, $3.24). Each size is available in bundles of 20. Argenti, who previously worked for Perdomo and then became a co-founder of Berger & Argenti, stressed that despite LGL Limited’s price point, the cigar is entirely longfiller with a higher grade 1LW wrapper.
