The city of Fairview, Okla. has approved a complete ban on the use of tobacco in any form on city property, a change that is scheduled to go into effect on Dec. 17. The city council approved the ban at its Nov. 17 meeting, and with the ban now stands to gain financially by becoming eligible for a grant from the Oklahoma State Department of Health and Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust, according to EnidNews.com. Fairview is located just over 100 miles northwest of Oklahoma City and is home to 2,635 residents, according to a 2013 estimate.
