There was always a hearty amount of praise for the Coronado by La Flor line, but with a band that didn’t feature the LFD logo, sales struggled to merit keeping it around. After being officially discontinued about 18 months ago, it seemed this line would be gone for good. But fans of the line have reason to rejoice as the company has announced that Coronado is coming back with a new look and name this summer. Now known as the La Flor Dominicana Coronado, the blend stays the same, using a Nicaraguan sun grown habano wrapper with the binder and filler coming completely from the Estancia La Flor de Palma in La Canela, Dominican Republic. It will be released in five sizes, all in 18-count boxes: Corona Especial (5 7/8 x 47, MSRP $8.80), Toro (6 x 52, $9.30), Double Corona (7 x 50, $9.30), Double Toro (7 x 54, $9.80) and Corona Gorda (7 x 60, $10.50). Shipping is expected to begin within 45 days of the trade show, which would have the cigars on shelves possibly as early as the end of August.
