Earlier this year, Camacho showed off a new—relatively large—desktop humidor using the company’s bold design language. It has been used as a promotional piece, but now it will be offered as a limited edition humidor for sale. It’s 19 x 7.5 x 13 inches with a red bottom, black top and a metal Camacho logo on the lid. It’s made of mahogany and includes two shelves, which the company says can hold 80 robusto-sized cigars, giving the humidor a capacity of 140-200 cigars depending on size. The bottom shelves are perforated to allow for better air flow and there’s an additional storage compartment below that could store an extra humidity element. The Strongbox Humidor is limited to 150 units and has a suggested retail price of $699. Included with the unit is one Slimline 2-Way Regulator, which the company says is a $200 value. The units will be on display and began shipping at the 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in New Orleans, La.
