Last year, the Miró Capa Negra was supposed to be at the 2014 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. However, after being dissatisfied with the quality of the wrappers, John Gonzalez, vp of Kuuts, LLC, made the decision to delay the cigar. Now, the maduro version of Kuuts’ Miró brand will be at the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. The cigar uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. The company describes the five-size line as medium-full, which would make it the strongest in the Kuuts portfolio. Kuuts is producing the Capa Negra at its Compañia Hondureña de Tabacos factory in Honduras. The line is offered in Momento (4 x 48, $6.80), Lonsdale (6 1/4 x 42, $6.95), Robusto (5 1/4 x 50, $7.60), Toro (6 x 52, $8.10) and Gordo (6 x 60, $8.90). Each size is offered in boxes of 20. Gonzalez told halfwheel that he expects to begin shipping the cigars between late July and mid-August.
