My Father Cigars is adding a 6 x 60 toro gordo to its Flor de las Antillas line, though if you think you’ve read this story before, you have good reason. In June 2013, the company released a 6 x 60 as a store exclusive to Binny’s Beverage Depot in the midst of several store exclusives that included a 6 1/2 x 48 for Holt’s and a 7 1/2 x 38 lancero for Up In Smoke. The following month, a 5 3/4 x 54 DeSocio, a size created for distributor Alliance Cigar. Like the version released for Binny’s and the rest of the regular productions sizes, the 6 x 60 gets a box press and is a Nicaraguan puro with a sun grown wrapper. It will be the fifth regular production size, joining a 5 x 50 robusto, 6 x 52 toro, 5 1/2 x 52 belicoso and a 6 1/2 x 56 toro gordo, all of which come in 20-count boxes. The new size will sell for $9.10 per cigar before state and local taxes.
