One June 28, 1995, Christian Eiroa started working for his father at Caribe Imported Cigars. That same year, the Eiroas purchased the Camacho brand. It was Camacho that defined Eiroa for the early part of his time in the cigar business, but now—after selling Camacho to Davidoff in 2008—Eiroa is focused on his own CLE Cigar Co. As it has since it debuted at the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show & Convention, the company has a handful of new releases planned for the mid-summer trade show, including Eiroa The First 20. It’s a Honduran puro made at the company’s El Aladino factory in Danlí. Four sizes will be available: Prensado (6 x 46), 5 x 50, 6 x 54 and 6 x 60. Suggested retail pricing is set at $12-14 per cigar and each size is offered in boxes of 20. Eiroa told halfwheel that it is a regular production release joining the eponymous portfolio which includes Eiroa and Eiroa CBT.
