For the third consecutive year, Casa Fernández will release a limited edition Aniversario, although this might be the last time. This year’s release will be offered in two vitolas—Voleur (7 1/2 x 40 box-pressed) and L.F. Celines (6 x 56). While a box-pressed lancero might sound odd, the L.F. Celines is actually the first round release for the series. Both cigars are produced at Casa Fernández Miami using AGANORSA tobacco, including a Jalapa-grown corojo 99 wrapper that has been aged for five years. The Voleur will come in 16-count boxes, limited to 300 boxes, while the L.F. Celines will be packaged in boxes of 10, limited to 1,000 boxes. Both will retail for $12.50. The Aniversario debuted in 2013, celebrating the 35th anniversary of the company, which was previously known as Tabacalera Tropical. In 2002, Eduardo Fernández bought the company from Pedro Martín and it is now incorporated into a much larger group of Fernández’s tobacco-related holdings which include factories in the U.S. and Nicaragua, the Casa Fernández brands and the AGANORSA tobacco growing company.
