Last year, Recluse Cigar Co. introduced the Amadeus, an Ecuadorian Connecticut-wrapped cigar offered in both traditional shapes and the company’s signature Sidewinder sizes, now, there’s Amadeus Habano Reserva. At next month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, Recluse will introduced the six-vitola Amadeus Habano Reserva, which uses an undisclosed habano wrapper, Mexican San Andrés binder and a variety of Dominican fillers. Like the original Amadeus, Recluse says it is rolling the cigar in entubar style at Tabacalera Leyendas Cubanas in the Dominican Republic with the tobaccos undergoing two years of processing. It will be offered in six sizes: Robusto (5 x 52, $7.50), Toro (6 1/4 x 50, $8.50), Tarantula (6 x 60, $9.50), SideWinder 1 (5 x 57, $8.50), SideWinder 2 (6 x 57, $9.50) and SideWinder 3 (7 x 57, $10.57). All sizes come in boxes of 24. Recluse’s Scott Weeks told halfwheel that the company will begin ship the Amadeus Habano Reserva immediately following the trade show.
