Fratello is adding a second blend. And while it means white in Italian, the cigar will be maduro. Omar de Frias confirmed to halfwheel that his company will launch Fratello Bianco at the 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in July. It’s the sophomore release from the company, which entered the market in 2013. The new line uses a Mexican San Andrés negro wrapper and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Pennsylvania and Peru. It will be offered in four sizes: Bianco I (6 1/4 x 44), Bianco II (6 x 50), Bianco III (5 x 56) and a 5 x 44 event exclusive. Pricing is expected between $8-9. Cigar Insider first reported information regarding the Fratello Bianco. The bianco name, which is white in Italian, is likely due to the band, which now features red on white, as opposed to white on red in the original. Fratello launched with its eponymous line in 2013 with four vitolas, which has now been expanded to six. Like the original release, Bianco being made at an undisclosed factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show takes place July 17-21 in New Orleans, La.
