Selected Tobacco has announced that two of its Byron lines will be receiving a new cigar. The Serie Siglo XIX will be adding the Gran Poemas (6 x 56) vitola, while the Byron Serie Siglo XX will receive the Habaneros (6 x 56) vitola. Both cigars are the largest Byrons release, forcing the company to tweak the blend. While it did say the blend was tweaked, the blend remains undisclosed. The cigars are priced at $33 per piece and will be sold in three-packs with each cigar in a Humitube, a metal tube with a humidifying unit. At this year’s IPCPR Trade Show & Convention the company is expected to offer other packaging options for both cigars, although whether they will come in jars remains to be decided. Byron is made at Tabacos de Costa Rica. The brand is owned by Selected Tobacco and distributed in the U.S. by United Cigar Group.
