There’s a new proposal in Washington D.C., and it’s not cigar friendly. Council member Kenyan McDuffie, D, has proposed a new bill that would increase the minimum age to purchase and/or possess tobacco to the age of 21. It would follow similar legislation in New York City, many areas of Massachusetts and other places around the country. While it might not have the best reputation, Washington D.C. is relatively cigar friendly including no excise tax on cigars. McDuffie introduced similar legislation in late 2013.
