Earlier today, invoices from Viaje Cigar Co. began showing up at retailers, an indication that the company’s latest shipment will soon be on its way. Included in the November schedule is Stuffed Turkey and a new cigar named Farmer Bill Hatchet. Viaje owner Andre Farkas told halfwheel at the 2014 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show that there would be two major changes to his November shipment for this year: the aforementioned new cigar and that Stuffed Turkey had “graduated” from the White Label Project (WLP) program. Originally released in November 2011 after a conversation with Jerry Cruz and Brian Hewitt of Stogie Review, Stuffed Turkey was created as a Thanksgiving themed release. In 2012, Viaje added a maduro version of the cigar, known as Dark Meat, making the original version White Meat. Both versions will return this year in the same 5 x 58 size used last year. The major change regarding the “graduation” will come in the form of packaging. Stuffed Turkey now comes in boxes and will feature its own bands.
