Caldwell Cigar Co. to Open The Honeycomb Hideout

Caldwell Cigar Co. will soon have a new home, as well as some new neighbors, as Robert Caldwell told halfwheel that the company has acquired a 4500 square foot building near the intersection of 67th Street and Biscayne Boulevard in Miami’s MiMo (Miami Modern) neighborhood and will begin build-out on the space this week. The building is being called “The Honeycomb Hideout,” and when it opens it will not only be home to the company’s new offices, but retail space on the ground floor with Evoca1 Apparel and Outernationalist, a store specializing in “vintage wares” signed on as occupants. The second floor will contain the company offices, studio space for emerging artists, an art gallery and several live/work areas for “creatives” passing through. The top floor includes office and event space, as well as about 2,000 square feet of terrace. Caldwell also mentioned he is currently working on a show for Art Basel Miami which will feature top ‘street artists’ from around the world. “I love art; it moves me unlike anything else–it drives me, it inspires me,” he said.
