The small town of Prosperity, S.C. is moving forward with an ordinance ban that would ban smoking and the use of all tobacco products on town property and within 20 feet of entrances to buildings. At the town council’s meeting on July 15, the ordinance received its second reading and was unanimously passed, according to the Newberry Observer. The text of the ordinance has not been publicized on the town’s website as of yet. The Prosperity Town Council’s next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19. Prosperity is a town in Newberry County, South Carolina with a population of around 1,200 people.
