Undercrown Pig Coming Stateside

Two years ago, Drew Estate offered its popular Flying Pig vitola in the Undercrown blend as a limited regional exclusive for the Netherlands. The 200 or so boxes sold out quickly with many of them ending up back in the U.S. to satisfy desires of the Drew Estate faithful. Now, the cigar is coming to the U.S. market directly from the company. The company will begin to offer the 4 1/8 x 60 double perfecto size as a limited offering to accounts who currently carry Liga Privada. While the Undercrown Flying Pig is made daily, the company makes it in limited quantities making it almost certainly more challenging to find than any of the regular Undercrown vitolas.  In many ways, the cigar is similar to the Kentucky Fired Cured Flying Pig, which shares the same size, price ($12), box-count (12) and is also only produced by a single pair daily. The one big difference is that the company will offer the KFC Flying Pig to every Drew Estate account, whereas the Undercrown Pig will only go to authorized Liga Privada retailers. The cigars are made t the company’s La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua.
