Villiger Bringing its Brazilian Puro, Tobajara, to the US

Villiger is bringing its Brazilian puro, Tobajara, to the US this summer when it releases the cigar at the IPCPR Convention and Trade Show. The cigar has already had a successful run in Europe and the company has decided it is time to share Heinrich Villiger’s dream for a Brazilian puro with American cigar consumers. Tobajara by Villiger was crafted by using Mata Fina and other select Brazilian tobaccos for the filler, known for delivering distinctive spicy notes. A Northern Bahia Mata Norte leaf surves as the binder, while the Brazilian maduro wrapper leaf completes the blend. The company describes it as delivering “big, bold flavor that tingles and dances around the smoker’s palate with spicy yet sweet notes and an earthy dash of woodiness,” while the smoke can be expected to be “mighty and complex while remaining smooth and intriguing.” Chocolate, earth and coffee notes are said to be among the standout flavors the cigar offers.
