Later this month, HVC Cigar Co. will debut its latest creation the first from Honduras, the HVC Vieja Cosecha, a 6 x 52 toro. While it will be the first cigar for the company made outside of the AGANORSA-affailiated TABSA, HVC owner Reinier Lorenzo told halfwheel it will be made entirely of five-year-old AGANORSA tobacco with a criollo 98 wrapper. Pricing is expected to be between $9-10. Vieja Cosecha is being produced at Raíces Cubanas in Danlí Honduras and is limited to 200 boxes. Lorenzo said he expects the Nicaraguan puro to begin shipping the first week in August. The company’s other blends—HVC First Selection and Cerro—are both made at TABSA and debuted last year. The 2014 IPCPR convention and trade show begins July 19 in Las Vegas, Nev.
