Buena Vista Relaunches

After over a year and a half off the market, Buena Vista is reentering the cigar market. It is now firmly under the MGM Cigar name and headed by José E. Borges Batista. Production has moved to the Dominican Republic and pricing is much lower, but Batista claims the cigars are the same as the ones that entered the market in 2011. In a press release, the company claims that issues regarding the company led to the disappearance from the market, but 200,000 cigars were stored from the production and are now ready to be released. We reviewed the Ecuadorian puro line from the company called the Buena Vista Edición Limitada. The other line, the Buena Vista Reserva 2008 featured an Ecuadorian wrapper and Dominican fillers, it is the line being rereleased today. Buena Vista was known for its high pricing, something that it seems to be getting away from. The Short Churchill (4 1/4 x 54), Petit Piramide (4 7/8 x 52), Corona (5 1/8 x 46) and Corona Larga (5 7/8 x 50) sizes will all retail for $6, the  (5 3/8 x 54) for $8.40 and the Doble Robusto (5 5/8 x 52) for $9.
