Casa Bella Maduro Heads to Retail

Sindicato Cigars has quietly released its new Casa Bella Maduro to a handful of retailers over the past few weeks, with a full rollout expected this month. Following up on the original Casa Bella, which was part of Sindicato’s original three lines, the Casa Bella Maduro uses a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Dominican binder and Nicaraguan filler. The cigars are being made at Rosario Perez’ 888 Tabac factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Four sizes are being released at this point, a 5 x 52 robusto, 7 x 52 churchill, 6 x 54 toro and 6 x 60 gran toro, which each packaged in 20 count bundles with SRPs of between $20 and $25 per bundle. The first batch of cigars began to ship out on May 29th, with Abe Dababneh’s Smoke Inn one of the first to list them for sale. Dababneh has been a prominent figure in the formation and launch of Sindicato Cigars. The original Casa Bella was unveiled at the 2013 IPCPR Convention and Trade Show and used an Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, while also including a 5 1/2 x 44 corona vitola.
