The northern Utah city of Garland has laid down the law when it comes to tobacco use in parks, as the city council voted to not just prohibit the usage of tobacco products, but also the possession of them while on park grounds. While the city has not posted the full text of the new law, the Tremonton Leader reports that violators will be subject to a Class C misdemeanor for violating the ban, which will be enforced by the city’s police force. The ban also includes e-cigarettes. Garland City is home to just under 2,500 residents and is located approximately 75 miles north of Salt Lake City.
