Selected Tobacco S.A. isn’t the name you see while wandering around the trade show floor, but Atabey or Byron is, and just might ring a bell if you’re familiar with the company’s premium offerings. It was an elegant booth to match some elegant products, and Nelson Alfonso was more than happy to show me his latest product. Byron Siglo XXI Elegantes Aptly named, the latest addition to their lineup is a new size in the Byron Siglo XXI collection. Not only are the cigars beautiful, but the box they come in is as well. The box isn’t just a box, though; it’s a fully functioning humidor, with a unique design to accommodate humidification. While the cigar’s blend isn’t fully disclosed, the company notes that the filler is aged at least four years, then after the cigar is rolled it is aged an additional five years.
