Although not a well known brand yet, Dominican Big Leaguer Cigars was founded in 2013 by Francisco Almonte, who was introduced to tobacco by his father, a master roller for Arturo Fuente Cigar Co. The company was not only showing off two new blends, but also a baseball bat cigar that just about everyone in the booth was smoking and that comes packaged in its own coffin. Dominican Big Leaguer Derrame II The most interesting release from the company was the Derrame II, which is sold in boxes containing 49 of the same blend, but 40 of the cigars are box-pressed while the remaining nine cigars are round. The cigar itself is a 6 1/4 x 56 toro gordo that retails for $9.20 and is made up of an Ecuadorian Sumatra oscuro sungrown wrapper, Peruvian binder and Dominican fillers. Only 200 boxes of 49 were produced.
