Stepping into the Perdomo booth at this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show elicited stepping into both the past and the future, without ever leaving the present. The booth is new, the first new one in 21 years, Nick Perdomo proudly boasts. It’s a statement; bigger, better, a commitment to be around through the turbulent times that the cigar industry is going through. It was well received, winning the best large booth award. With FDA regulation of the cigar industry here, Perdomo is digging into its extensive portfolio or pre-predicate date products and bringing them back to the forefront of its offerings. Meanwhile, a new addition to the 20th Anniversary line is being added, and Perdomo promises to pay whatever costs required to get it approved by FDA. Much like the company did with SCHIP taxes, Nick Perdomo says he will be meeting FDA regulations head-on.
