Brian Chinnock’s booth was right at the front of the trade show, literally right in front of Drew Estate’s massive booth and one of the first booths retailers come across when they enter the show floor. His featured new cigar is a rerelease of a limited edition he did last year, but with a new name and a special meaning. Chinnock Cellars T.L.P. Chinnock got into the world of infused cigars last year with XOXO, an extremely limited edition of 500 cigars with leaves that had been hand-sprayed with premium cognac by Sandy Cobas at El Titan de Bronze in Miami. This year, the cigar returns with a different name, as it is now called the Chinnock Cellars T.L.P. The new name is in honor of Chinnock’s wife, Terry Lynn Paiva, who passed away due to diabetes on February 27. He is using the release not only to honor his wife, but to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association (ADA). All of the proceeds from the 1,000 cigars being produced will go to ADA, while each cigar shop will contribute one dollar to the charity, with that donation included in the purchase price.
