Tatuaje Black Label Corona Gorda Jars Arrive In Stores

Multiple retailers have reported the arrival of the much-anticipated Tatuaje Black Label Corona Gorda 2013 hars, a project that many hoped would be on shelves last year. The 19-count melamine jars first appeared at an event attended by brand owner Pete Johnson in late February and now have arrived nationwide.  In 2007, the original Tatuaje Private Cellar Reserve was released to the public first in bundles and then in ceramic jars. What was once Johnson’s personal cigar became one of the more sought after releases in the company history and caused as much hysteria on the secondary market for collectors as any. Johnson had long made it known that he would rerelease the cigar, in large quantities, for the company’s 10th anniversary in 2013. While the jars were shown off at the trade show, production of the 10,000 jars meant the cigars were delayed into 2014, although 500 bundles of the cigars appeared at retailers in the fall. Pricing is set at $10 per cigar, or $190 per jar. A lengthy history of the cigar was covered in halfwheel’s review of the Black Label Corona Gorda 2013, where the cigar scored 92 points.
