In addition to introducing new cigars in recent years, Joya de Nicaragua has also been rolling out new branding. In 2014, the company released Joya Red, not only a new cigar but a new look for the bands and packaging. This year, the company will be showing off its latest addition, Joya Black, which also features the company’s new design. At the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which kicks off on Sunday before the show floor opens on Monday, Joya de Nicaragua will be showing off an updated look for one of its most distinctive core lines cigars, the Joya de Nicaragua Cabinetta Serie. Debuting in 2010, the cigar features a two-toned wrapper, known as a doble capa, with the company’s traditional band laid over the point where the two leaves meet. It is a cigar described as offering “creamy smoke with peppery notes and mild to medium strength” in a press release.
