Later this month, Warped Cigars will add a new line featuring an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. Underneath that are Nicaraguan tobaccos from AGANORSA: a corojo 99 binder, and corojo 99 from Jalapa and criollo 98 fillers. Villa Sombra will be offered in two sizes: Mojitos (5 1/2 x 44, $8.80) and Mecedora (5 1/4 x 50, $9). Both sizes are offered in boxes of 25. “The inspiration for the marca came awhile ago as I have an affinity for Jalapa, the sweet profile and aroma it gives off is just relaxing to me,” said Kyle Gellis of Warped Cigars in a press release. “So when I started playing around with the idea of captivating a blend of dominant Jalapa leaf, the Conn Shade capa was the ideal choice. But the final decision to actually make this marca a reality was on one of my recent trips to TABSA when time after time, I kept going back and smoking these throughout the days at the factory.
