Oscar Valladares has become known to the cigar world for a line of cigars known as the Leaf by Oscar, but will soon become known for having an eponymously named release that will debut at this month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. The cigar is made with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Honduran binder and Nicaraguan fillers, with the Honduran tobacco coming from the first production of Valladares’ FFF farm. “The result is a medium bodied, balanced and rich flavored smoke, fresh from the aging room,” according to Valladares. It is being released in three sizes, Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52) and Sixty (6 x 60), all packed in a unique configuration of 11-count boxes designed to look like cigar molds. Additionally, each cigar comes wrapped in a tobacco leaf, a presentation similar to that of the Leaf by Oscar line. The cigars are being produced at the Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. factory in Danlí, Honduras and distributed by Valladares’ new distribution company, which is based out of Houston, Texas. Pricing has not yet been announced by the company. The IPCPR Convention & Trade Show runs July 25-28 in Las Vegas, Nev. Images via Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co.
