One of the new companies debuting at this year trade show is bringing quite a few cigars. Sacra Folium Cigar Co. will launch at this month’s trade show, with five new lines. The brand is the creation of Boris Grossman of Matador Cigars in Long Island, N.Y. The name translates into “sacred leaf” from Latin. Each of the lines appears to take inspiration from a mathematical term. Fractal uses a Honduran wrapper, dual binders including corojo from Jalapa, Nicaragua and Corojo 99 from Estelí, Nicaragua. The fillers include Honduran corojo 2006; Jalapa criollo 98; Condega, Nicaragua criollo 98 and ligero from Estelí. It is being offered in two sizes: Robusto Grande (5 x 54) and Toro Gordo (6 1/2 x 56). Golden Ratio will come in three sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52) and Churchill (7 x 50). That blend uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Indonesian and criollo 98 Estelí binders and four fillers: Honduran corojo and criollo 98 and Jalapa criollo 98 and corojo 99. Law of Sines uses a corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, corojo 99 from Estelí and criollo 98 from Honduras as binders and criollo 98 from Honduras, corojo from Honduras and criollo 98 from Estelí ...
