Fred Rewey is adding another factory to his list of manufacturing partners. Nomad Cigar Co.’s newest release, Martial Law, will be produced at Fabrica Oveja Negra, the Estelí, Nicaragua-based operation owned by James and Angela Brown, best known for producing Black Label Trading Co. Martial Law is a single 6 x 50 toro vitola that uses a habano wrapper, Jalapa binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Rewey said the blend uses tobacco from all four of Nicaragua’s main growing regions: Condega, Estelí, Jalapa and Ometepe. “I was very impressed with Fabrica Oveja Negra during a visit last year,” said Rewey in a press release. “Frankly, I have not seen anyone get a new factory up to speed as fast as they did. With attention to detail and excellent tobacco, a project there was inevitable at some point.” Suggested retail pricing is $12 per cigar and it will be offered in 12-count boxes. The cigar will debut at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show which begins July 25 in Las Vegas. Nomad is distributed by Boutiques Unified.
