Corporación Habanos S.A., has announced the appointment of Evis Placer Cervera to the position of logistic vice president of Habanos S.A.. The appointment came by resolution of Cuba’s Minister of Agriculture, Gustavo Rodriguez Rollero. Placer brings more than 40 years of experience in the tobacco sector, according to a press release issued by Habanos S.A. He has been director of the Tobacco Research Institute, director of Tobacco Enterprise Lázaro Peña and president of Coiba Iberoamericana (COIBA) in Spain.
