Following up on its Killer Bee, Black Works Studio’s newest addition will be the Green Hornet. The unique 5 x 48 robusto keeps the green part of the theme by placing strips of candela tobacco at the top of the cigar and as part of the closed foot. Elsewhere, there’s an Ecuadorian maduro wrapper, Nicaraguan habano binder and Nicaraguan fillers. “The Green Hornet started as an event only cigar, however after seeing the response from consumers and retailers we knew it had to become a regular release,” said James Brown, Black Works Studio co-owner, in a press release. “The blend is a touch stronger than the Killer Bee to compliment the larger vitola and the closed Candela foot creates a very unique profile from the first puff. The Green Hornet is big, bold, rich and spicy.” Suggested retail pricing will be $9.50 per cigar and it comes in boxes of 20. The company says it expects to begin shipping the cigars immediately following the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which begins July 25 in Las Vegas, Nev.
