On Friday, Camacho launched its newest line—Powerband—at a kick-off party at the Davidoff of Geneva flagship in Tampa. While the tour events will go on nationwide through the end of the year, the cigars will now begin arriving in stores. Powerband is the second consecutive major release Camacho has made in the Dominican Republic. It uses an Ecuadorian habano 2000 wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés negrito binder. Underneath is Camacho’s signature Honduran corojo—from the ligero priming—another corojo ligero from Estelí, Nicaragua, Dominican San Vicente ligero, San Vicente viso and Dominican piloto Cubano. The new line will be offered in three sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 50) and Gordo (6 x 60) with suggested pricing set at $11-13 per cigar. In addition, the company will offer a three-pack sampler for $39.99. #CamachoPowerband road tour day one is officially a wrap. See you tomorrow at @CoronaCigarCo Sand Lake at 2PM.
