A representative from Altadis USA told halfwheel that the company will be releasing an exclusive TAA H. Upmann Limited Edition release at the upcoming Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) meeting and trade show at the end of March. Specifics of the release are being withheld until the meeting, which will happen March 23 – 27 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The annual gathering of the select group of retailers has increasingly been a venue for manufacturers to release limited edition cigars available only to TAA members, or to give them an advance buying opportunity on upcoming releases. Crowned Heads has already announced that it will be releasing a TAA exclusive called Angel’s Anvil, and several other manufacturers are expected to announce TAA exclusives in the days leading up to the meeting. This will be the second time that Altadis USA has released a cigar for the TAA, as in 2011 they released the Romeo y Julieta Exclusivo Para TAA by José Seijas, a 6 x 60 vitola that came in twin-pack coffins. Numerous companies and brands have released cigars for the organization in recent years, including Tatuaje, Padrón, Ashton, AVO, My Father Cigars, Fonseca, La Aroma de Cuba and La Flor Dominicana.
