The list of cigars available exclusive to members of the Tobacconists Association of America (TAA) will be getting an entry from Crowned Heads. The Nashville-based company will be releasing Angel’s Anvil, a standalone brand offered in a single 7 1/8 x 49 size. News of the cigar was first reported in Cigar Insider. Jon Huber told the Cigar Aficionado publication that the brand is based off of his own life. More specifically, Angel’s Anvil is a story about a wingless angel who finds a blacksmith to provide him (the angel) with a hammer and anvil in order to create new wings. The new wings for a fallen angel are a parallel to Huber’s time in the cigar business, which saw him without a job after CAO was moved into the General Cigar Co. portfolio following the completion of the merger between Swedish Match and Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Huber’s new wings came of course in the form of Crowned Heads. Angel’s Anvil uses a an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and fillers. It is limited to 1,000 boxes of 20.
