Leccia Launching Bumpy Roots; Small Batch #75

For those wondering how many different ways one can truly make a cigar, Sam Leccia has two new options. Leccia has announced two new projects, both with interest takes on a traditional cigar. First up is Bumpy Roots, a cigar that uses a combination of both long filler and pipe tobacco in the filler; as well as between the binder and wrapper. It will be offered in three different blends: Cherry Stout, which uses cherry stout pipe tobacco; Dee’s Nut Ale, which uses hazelnut pipe tobacco; and Pap’s Blend which uses black cavendish pipe tobacco. Leccia told halfwheel the cigars are rolled to be a 5 x 50, but really come out as a 5 x 54 with the added pipe tobacco. Each blend will be available in tins of 4 cigars, priced at $24.95. These tins will contain an additional 3 grams of pipe tobacco to help humidify them and for individuals to smoke. The cigars will come precut. Bumpy Roots is scheduled to arrive in “late summer (or) early fall” according to Leccia. Shipping now is a new project called Small Batch #75.
