For those wondering how many different ways one can truly make a cigar, Sam Leccia has two new options. Leccia has announced two new projects, both with interest takes on a traditional cigar. First up is Bumpy Roots, a cigar that uses a combination of both long filler and pipe tobacco in the filler; as well as between the binder and wrapper. It will be offered in three different blends: Cherry Stout, which uses cherry stout pipe tobacco; Dee’s Nut Ale, which uses hazelnut pipe tobacco; and Pap’s Blend which uses black cavendish pipe tobacco. Leccia told halfwheel the cigars are rolled to be a 5 x 50, but really come out as a 5 x 54 with the added pipe tobacco. Each blend will be available in tins of 4 cigars, priced at $24.95. These tins will contain an additional 3 grams of pipe tobacco to help humidify them and for individuals to smoke. The cigars will come precut.
