Gran Habano has shipped its new Elegance Collection, which includes three new, smaller sizes of its popular Corojo #5 line, as well as two existing smaller ring gauge sizes. Inside each of the 1,000 samplers are (going clockwise from the top right) a Corona (6 x 44), Petite Corona (5 1/2 x 42), Figurado (5 x 48), Lunch Break (4 1/2 x 40) and a Lancero (7 1/2 x 38). This is the first time that the Corona, Petit Corona and Figurado have been released, and are a preview of a limited production launch of the vitolas that will be on stores later this summer. A company spokesperson told halfwheel that these sizes will help consumers experience the Corojo #5 blend “the way it was intended to be.” Gran Habano will be releasing 1,000 boxes of 20 cigars in those sizes, which are some of the smaller vitolas in the Corojo #5 line. Pricing has not yet been announced by the company on those new sizes. Production is being handled at the company’s G.R. Tabacaleras Unidas S.A. factory in Honduras. The Elegance Collection has an MSRP of $280.
