A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva Deflorado Slated for 2016 IPCPR

PDR Cigars’ A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva line will grow at this summer’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which is when the company is scheduled to release the A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva Deflorado. The new line uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper, dual binders of Ecuadorian habano and Nicaraguan leaf from Jalapa, with a filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The new line gets its name from the wrapper, which comes from tobacco that plants that have been deflowered, or deflorado. Removing the flower redirects nutrients and energy to the leaves, resulting in more flavorful tobacco. It will come in the same sizes and prices as the original A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva: Half Corona (3 1/2 x 46, $5.09), Robusto (5 x 52, $12.35), Torpedo (6 1/2 x 52, $14.95), Grand Toro (6 x 54, $14.10) and Double Magnum (6 x 60, $15.80). The Half Corona will again come in five-count metal tins as well as 50-count boxes, while the other sizes will come in 24-count boxes. A shipping date has not yet been announced.
