At the upcoming IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in July, Warped Cigars will show off a new line years in the making. It’s called Maestro del Tiempo, master of time, a three-size line showcasing Nicaraguan tobacco. “For Maestro del Tiempo we searched for material from different farms and lots than we are used to looking at it, as to bring a more unique aspect to this blend,” said Kyle Gellis, Warped’s founder in an email to halfwheel. “A medium to full-bodied blend that showcases the special qualities of the different regions, farms, and lots that Aganorsa has under their lineage.” As for that AGANORSA tobacco, it’s a corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, criollo 98 and corojo 99 fillers and a mixture of Nicaraguan tobaccos. Two regular production sizes are planned for launch: 5205 (6 3/8 x 42) and 5712 (4 1/2 x 52). For orders place at the July trade show itself, a special 6102R (5 1/4 x 48) vitola will be offered. It features a tweaked blend, including the addition of medio tiempo tobacco from Estelí, and is limited to 150 cabinets of 100 cigars.
