Black Label Trading Co.’s Morphine Returns in June

For the third year in a row, Black Label Trading Co. is releasing its limited edition Morphine, and once again the blend has changed. The new cigar uses a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Previous years have included Honduran tobacco in the filler and an Ecuadorian dual wrapper. There will once again be three sizes, but they have all changed compared to last year: Corona Gorda (5 1/2 x 48, $10.50); Lancero (7 1/4 x 42, $11) and Torpedo Box Press (5 x 54, $10.50). The Corona Gorda comes in 20-count boxes, while the Torpedo will be offered in 18- and the Lancero in 12-count boxes. This marks the first time that the company has produced a torpedo shape cigar in its Fabrica Oveja Negra. “Morphine has quickly become a favorite of our customers. I think we can now say its our signature blend,” said James Brown, BLTC’s co-founder, in a press release. “The 2016 Morphine will not disappoint with it’s big bold flavors and unique character.
